Are you ready for the Metamorphosis open evening? The Metamorphosis exhibition features work by local artists such as Lama Khatib Daniel, Elizabeth Waggett, Liz Ramos Prado, German Fernandez, Andrew Field, Victoria Viray, Deama Hatahet, Matt Ryder, Kristy Anne Ligones, Angelika Hamilton, Emma Sabberton, Ashvin & B’lu, and Ute Weis. Pupils of all ages have explored the theme of 'Metamorphosis' in poetry and artwork and have produced their own collaborative and individual works. Parents, staff and friends of the college from around the United Arab Emirates as well as Oman and the UK have participated. The theme for this group exhibition is in connection with the 2014 Emirates Literature Festival and some works will be transferred to Dubai Festival City for an exhibition in March. Visitors are welcome to meet the artists & writers at an informal gathering on 11 of February at 7pm in the gallery at Brighton College Abu Dhabi. The event has been featured on the Art in the City website and we are particularly pleased that Year 10 pupil Sophie Preston’s painting has been used on the front page to showcase the event!
