There were some (very well behaved) wild animals in the Art room today making 3D work. It's great to see so many of the Prep pupils supporting the Hosn House charity.

Year 12 Photography & Art collaboration in progress, inspired by artist Alexa Meade.

The Year 5, 10 and 12 pupils at Brighton College Abu Dhabi had a thought provoking time with visiting artist Amira Rahim today. A comment from a Year 5 pupil to Amira - “You were inspired by all of those artists but now you have inspired me”. The pupils were welcoming and enthusiastic, it was also wonderful to hear their opinions and ideas about Abstract Art. Amira's exhibition will be on display in The Gallery until 13 November.

Pinch pots & ceramic fun with Year 6 today in the Art room. Next week we will be using the slab building techniques to create work for the 'Objects of the Emirates' exhibition in November.

All pupils are encouraged to submit Art work for the ‘Objects of the emirates’ exhibition. Get creative and drop by the Art department for advice. They can be painted, drawn, sculptural, photographic, collaged or made with mixed media. The theme is OBJECTS of the Emirates so think coffee pots, traditional jewellery, incense burners, Emirati clothing, henna packets, majlis cushions, falconry accessories. We can’t wait to see your ideas! Prize winners will be announced in November.
