Information for Year 11 pupils getting ready for the Course work deadline...
Here is a gentle reminder of the
Assessment criteria and a simplified check list. You need to ensure all work
(sketchbook and final piece) is ready for the end of January. Remember
to ENJOY your creative journey, use the time you have left and be productive.
Avoid panicking, if you get stuck ASK FOR HELP, look for inspiration and use the Art room at
breaks, lunches, after school.
Set up your own studio space at
home, take your book / work home as much as possible and e-mail me in the
holiday if you have any questions. I’m here to support you.
A01 (20 marks)
‘Imaginative ideas supported by
perceptive, sustained investigations. Independent, sensitive insights are
supported by skillful use of critical understanding.’

Information on at
least 2 artists in your own words

Examples of
artist work, all labeled with Title / Date / Medium

Collected imagery
from magazines, internet, newspapers

A02 (20 marks)

resulting in creative and imaginative developments. Recognises the full
potential of materials, techniques and processes selected.’

Experiment with
collage, paint, charcoal, pastels, printing, photoshop, sun prints

Experiment with
found imagery, make sketches of ideas, make notes and further mind mapping

A03 (20 marks)
‘Perceptive grasp of ideas and
issues recorded, evidenced through sustained, comprehensive and creative use of
visual/other forms. Any specialist terms are used appropriately and are
expressed highly accurately’
